Rainbow Wood releases first Rainbow Wood Sessions video of “cry baby” by Ellysse Mason
As part of the growing Rainbow Wood Sessions series, Ellysse Mason has delivered an emotive and intimate performance of “Cry Baby”, filmed in the very studio where the song came to fruition. Mason gives a stellar performance, filled with dramatic hair flicks and perfectly timed lip curls that punctuate the lyrics' passion. Will Graves can be credited with the beautiful cinematography that is seen in the video, as his camera stalks Mason around the studio, panning towards the other musicians in the room before gravitating back towards Ellysse, almost as if the magnetism of her performance can be felt by the camera itself. Silhouetted by the rays of sun pouring through the panes of glass that encase the studio, her poses convey everything you need to know about Mason, an unapologetically expressive and explosive character who’s artistic power can be appreciated both visually and sonically.
